Push up test
Protocol: military style push up position with only hands and toes touching the floor in the starting position. Women have the option to use their knees instead of toes. Keep your back straight and lower your chest down to the floor, to the same level each time repeatedly till your elbows are at a right angle. Do as many push-ups as possible till exhaustion.
Advantages: easy to set up, not much equipment needed, can be conducted anywhere.
Disadvantages: not very reliable, dependant on athletes motivation, tedious.
Reliability: not very reliable as there isn't a time set on this test so an athlete would be able to take long rests between push ups as well as they could pull out of it whenever and not necessarily exhausted.
Validity: not very valid as it determines on how the athlete perceives to be s correct press-up or how long they take as there's no bleep to keep you in time or no time limit either.

Pull up or chin up test

procedure: Grasp the overhead bar using either an overhand grip (palms facing away from body) or underhand grip (palms facing toward body), with the arms fully extended. The subject then raises the body until the chin clears the top of the bar, then lowers again to a position with the arms fully extended. The pull-ups should be done in a smooth motion. Jerky motion, swinging the body, and kicking or bending the legs is not permitted. As many full pull-ups as possible are performed.

Advantages - quick, easy, minimal equipment needed

Disadvantages- there's loads of different variations of this test which could effect your scoring

Never used by any of us
Not helpful
Not enjoyable
Sometimes difficult to use such as uploading photos editing etc…
Not 100% accurate as where editing it rather have facts then guesses off pupils.

Prefer other app we use in biomechanics as it's easier to use more enjoyable and adapts to different peoples learning techniques by letting us draw or write etc….

1) what is aerobic fitness?
Aerobic fitness is measured as the amount of oxygen transported into the blood in which it is then pumped around the body by the heart and is the efficiency of how the muscles consume and use that oxygen. An increase of fitness means an increase in the hearts capability in pumping blood around the body. More capable with less amounts of pumps. (Polar, n.d.)

Harvard step test.

Predictive test
Human error
Potential to fall from height
Difficult to enforce/determine pace.

We could make the test more reliable by using heart rate monitors limiting human errors, ensure all equipment is correct and secure, more reliable by ensure everything is set and that time is stopped not carried over. Sne

Harvard/ymca step test

Strengths of the test were that minimal equipment is needed, little time is needed as it was quick and easy.
Negative would be health and safety of Ppe, human error. S,e,n

Aerobic means with oxygen therefore aerobic activity is that which uses oxygen to produce energy for movement.

Aerobic fitness is best measured by using v02 max this is where the amount of oxygen that enters and leaves the lungs are monitored. Aerobic fitness is the capacity to exercise in aerobic activities for a prolonged period where the amount of activity depends on aerobic capacity and cardiorespiratory endurance. S,e,n

How could you make the test we did last week more valid and reliable?
What would you change and why?
Give justification with references.
