How did you set this test up

- wet heart rate monitor before putting it on
- connected bike and hr monitor to laptop
- strapped feet in to bike
- made sure seat was correct size
- 5 min warm up (8min)

What health and safety issues have you considered?

- wires secure
- Heart rate below maximum 180.
- RPE scale
- getting on and off bike
- secruly fastend feet in pedals.

How have you ensured these issues are dealt with?

- administrator checked as well as a second person helping.

What procedure have you used to complete this test? what steps have been taken?

- when heart rate is near max record RPG every ten seconds then reduce all resistance when max reached and begin cool down

3 minute rower (Critical Power)

- water
- stopwatch
- calculator

How did you set this test up

- turned rower on did a specific warm up for 4 mins to warm up legs and upper body.

What health and safety issues have you considered?

- getting off the rower after test
- feet securely strapped in
- resistance turned off.
- warmed up specifically and effectively

How have you ensured these issues are dealt with?

- administrator double checked and helped client get off the rower after they had cooled down

- readings watts

- its fast

- you need access to a rower which is large equipment
- delayed wattage readings
